Wildcats had a lot of fun today at Hunter Hall and New Hampshire Hall! Over at Nesmith both groups celebrated Valentine’s Day with activities using conversation hearts. First, each person graphed the different colors that they found in their box. Group 1 found a lot of yellows, and neither group had many purples!
After that, we split into pairs and played a version of the game Battleship with the conversation hearts on ten by ten grids. Participants had to use the coordinates (A-7, E-3, etc.) to guess where their partner’s hearts were hidden.
Finally, we ended the evening by writing love poetry with our conversation hearts in a Haiku format (5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables) and eating the candy!
