In Sheana’s class this week we combined two of the things Wildcat Friends love most…Science and Candy! We started out with some candy trivia and learned that 600 million chocolate Easter Bunnies will be made for Easter this year! Then we got right to work. We visited four different stations and completed 2 or 3 different experiments at each! We used what we know about density to separate candy colors, create swirling peppermint stripes and make marshmallows sink. We were able to observe and trap the carbon dioxide gas given off by pop rocks. We even removed the “m” from m and ms! We completed a word search and word scramble and finished up with a brief video on how gummy candy is made. It was a sweet class!
